Khan · Torguuds — Golden Horde AoE4

Ovoo, Golden Tent, age-up (0:00–4:40)

Start the age-up at 2:57 with 13 villagers, 8 of them sent to wood just before and 2 on gold, at the Golden Tent with the Khan and Torguuds advance; Age II at 4:40 with 19 villagers.

  1. 0:00 — One villager builds the Ovoo, the Golden Tent, then a Ger on the gold; the other 4 go to sheep, with the rally point on food.
  2. — Rally on food; from the 8th villager on, the next ones head to gold.
  3. — Against Age I aggression: send 3 villagers to gold earlier to gather 200 gold, and keep 3 free spaces around the Town Center.
  4. 2:57 — Age up at the Golden Tent with the Khan and Torguuds advance: before starting it, 8 villagers move to wood, and a villager goes to put down the second Ovoo.

Pressure or defence by matchup (4:40)

Choose according to the opponent: Keshiks, Archers, Batu Khan and Torguuds to apply pressure, or Spearmen and Archers behind a Fortified Outpost against knights; hold 12 on wood for the Stockyard, then prepare Age III.

  1. 4:40 — Age II: 9 villagers on food, 8 on wood, 2 on gold.
  2. — Opponent without knights: Keshiks, Archers, Batu Khan and Torguuds to apply pressure.
  3. — Opponent with knights: Spearmen and Archers, with a Fortified Outpost on the gold; go up to 12 on wood so the Stockyard can go down. Always a Kharash in the army, and rally on gold.
  4. — Rally on food; Double Broadax, Wheelbarrow and Iron Undermesh. Deny the opponent his gold, and move villagers from wood to gold and food for Age III.
  5. — Two routes for Age III: Muscovy Yasak, to close out fast with the Age II army or survive a push and help the move to the Stockyard; or Relic Ovoos, an economic bonus with Ovoo Tithe in Age IV, riskier.
  6. — Two routes for Age IV: Stone Armies (stone pays for the army) or Yam Network Trade, excellent for gold; with the Stockyard edict or, usually the better one, the Kharash edict.
