Rush · Men-at-arms — Holy Roman Empire AoE4
Barracks first, Chapel at 2:59 (0:00–4:40)
Put down a Barracks with the first produced villager, send 2 Spearmen to harass the opponent’s gold, then start the Aachen Chapel at 2:59: Age II around 4:40 with 20 villagers.
- 0:00 — The 6 villagers cut wood until 50 wood.
- — The first produced villager builds a Barracks; 2 Spearmen go harass the opponent’s gold.
- — 3 villagers move to food, with the rally on food; one villager builds a House, then goes back to food.
- 1:02 — 9 villagers: 7 on food, 2 on wood.
- 2:59 — Age up with the Aachen Chapel: 2 villagers start it, 3 others join them.
- — A House, then a Farm as soon as you have 75 wood.
Farms, tower, then Burgrave (4:40)
Fortify the gold with an Outpost and 4 Farms, then start the Burgrave Palace at 8:40 to produce Men-at-Arms in bulk.
- 4:40 — The Chapel is done; 3 villagers gather one load of stone.
- 5:00 — 4 Farms and an Outpost on the gold, which you upgrade with Fortify Outpost.
- 6:10 — The economy fills out: 14 villagers on food, 4 on wood, 5 on gold.
- 8:40 — Age up with the Burgrave Palace, which makes the Barracks produce much faster (five times, according to the author). Research the charge damage and the veterans, then produce Men-at-Arms non-stop.
Tips
- The first 2 Spearmen harass the opponent’s gold as soon as the Barracks is up: annoy the opponent, do not fight.
- The 3 stone villagers fetch only one load, just enough for Fortify Outpost on the gold.
- Variant: another author starts the Burgrave Palace as early as 7:30 with 9 food villagers, and has the Prelate visit the gold for the gathering bonus.
- The Burgrave Palace serves the Barracks: once it is started, all the effort goes to Men-at-Arms, with the charge damage and the veterans.
