Pro Scouts · Early aggression — Rus AoE4
Wood first, three cabins (0:00–4:07)
Build three Hunting Cabins with 2 loads of 40 wood, start The Golden Gate at 2:45 with 5 villagers and reach Age II at 4:07 with 18 villagers.
- 0:00 — 4 villagers start on wood (2 loads of 40 wood each); 2 others build two Hunting Cabins.
- 0:20 — The first villager out of the Town Center builds the third Hunting Cabin, on another tree line.
- 0:45 — The lone wood villager goes to the sheep and builds a House.
- 1:06 — A Scout comes out of the Hunting Cabin.
- 2:45 — Age up with The Golden Gate: 5 villagers build it.
- 2:50 — 6 villagers chop the 3 straggler trees; rally on sheep.
- 3:30 — A tree villager builds a House.
Scouts, deer, then Castle (4:07)
Collect two deer packs with 4 to 5 Scouts, produce units and stay in Feudal until Castle, aimed at 11:00 to 12:00.
- 4:07 — Age II: The Golden Gate builders go to the sheep.
- 4:16 — Professional Scouts, and one more Scout in production.
- 4:30 — Surplus on wood, and units non-stop until you hold 2 deer packs; the Castle Age comes around 11:00 to 12:00.
Tips
- The first Scout explores the map aggressively (enemy deer, resources); the second circles your base to bring the sheep home.
- Go up to 5 Scouts: 4 to bring the deer home, 1 to spy on the enemy base.
- Place every Hunting Cabin within the Town Center’s radius so it can be built safely; skip the third if the opponent is preparing a Spearman rush.
- Harass with Early Knights and Spearmen or Archers to keep the opponent in Feudal and wreck his food economy: pressure alone makes him pull his villagers back.
- For the Castle Age at 11:00-12:00: the High Trade House, built by 7 villagers, between two nearby forests so it pays the most.
