Scouts and Golden Gate trades (4:27–10:00)
Trade non-stop at The Golden Gate (100 food or 100 wood for 150 gold) to fund Professional Scouts, Survival Techniques and upgrades, then reach Castle at 10:00 with the High Trade House.
- 4:27 — Age II: always keep 100 food in reserve to trade for 150 gold at the start of every age.
- 5:25 — Force the wood villagers to drop, research Professional Scouts and produce 3 more Scouts.
- 6:10 — Another trade of 100 food for 150 gold, then Survival Techniques; rally the Scouts on the deer.

- 8:00 — 5 food villagers build the High Trade House, then go back to food.
- 8:50 — 2 wood villagers build a House, a Blacksmith and 2 Barracks (against French and Mongols), or a Stable and an Archery Range (against English, Chinese and Japanese).
- 9:30 — Another trade, then Iron Undermesh, and Steeled Arrow for Horse Archers or Bloomery for Early Knights.
Relics and Warrior Monks (10:00)
Hold the map and the sacred sites with Warrior Monks and Horse Archers, keeping the trades going: every bit of food above 2,000 is worth gold.
- 10:00 — Age III: 2 trades of 100 food for 150 gold; Double Broadax, Forestry, Military Academy and Wedge Rivets.
- 11:00 — Rally on wood up to 15 villagers on wood.
- 11:20 — Food villagers build the Monastery; rally on food.
- 11:40 — Warrior Monks and Horse Archers (or Early Knights) non-stop: dominate the sacred sites and the map.
Tips
- Always keep 100 food to trade for 150 gold at the start of each age; past 2,000 food in stock, trade 100 for 150 gold again and again.
- Pick the military buildings by opponent: 2 Barracks against French and Mongols, a Stable and an Archery Range against English, Chinese and Japanese.
- Choose the upgrade from the army: Steeled Arrow for Horse Archers, Bloomery for Early Knights.
- When the third Hunting Cabin is up, go over with the Scout to drop 1 sheep there.
- Slower variant: the "Professional Scouts and harassment" build stays in Feudal until 11:00-12:00 to harass for longer.
