Rush · Great Pasture — Jin Dynasty AoE4
Age II at 1:45 with 8 villagers (0:00–3:12)
Force a food drop-off at 1:40 to click up at 1:45 with 8 villagers: the Great Pasture is ready at 3:12, with 12 villagers.
- 0:00 — 2 Mounted Villagers hunt the reindeer under the Town Center, the third mines gold with a Mining Camp. Regular Villagers come out rallied on the reindeer.
- 1:40 — 8 villagers in total: get ready to force the food drop-off, so the age-up starts right away.
- 1:45 — Forced drop-off, then age up with the Great Pasture: 2 Mounted Villagers from food build it, then go back to gold.
- 2:00 — The gold Mounted Villager builds a House.
- 2:20 — One more villager to gold, then the rally goes back to food.
Iron Pagodas and Mohe right away (3:12)
Beat the opponent’s knight pressure to the punch: Iron Pagodas and Mohe Tribesmen from 3:12, then wood from 3:40 to sustain production.
- 3:12 — The Great Pasture is ready: produce Iron Pagodas and Mohe Tribesmen immediately, and put on the pressure.
- 3:40 — At 10 villagers on food and 4 on gold, rally on wood; the Town Center now produces Mounted Villagers.
- 4:15 — Make more Mohe Tribesmen to protect the Iron Pagodas during raids, and press the open points of the map.
Tips
- The build exists to get ahead of knight pressure (the French first of all): the Iron Pagodas harass, the Mohe Tribesmen protect them.
- Kill the two reindeer right next to the Town Center straight away, otherwise villager production stops for a few seconds: the timings are very tight (Jockxtar’s advice).
- Variant: Eldritch clicks up at 2:05 with 3 villagers, produces Mohe Tribesmen non-stop (5 to 6) and hits the opponent’s back gold around 4:20; he can then stay in Age II or go Castle, the safer option.
- Variant: Jockxtar clicks up at 1:50 and makes 2 Horsemen before the Mohe Tribesmen to block the opponent’s gold or stone; avoid it against feudal heavy cavalry (French, Jeanne d’Arc, Rus, Golden Horde) and against English, Lancaster and Abbasid (military wing).
