Great Pasture · Dragon — Jin Dynasty AoE4
Gold first, then the reindeer (0:00–3:55)
Click up at 2:45 with 7 villagers: 3 build the Great Pasture, which finishes at 3:55 with 9 villagers, 4 of them on gold.
- 0:00 — The 3 starting Mounted Villagers mine gold and one of them builds a Mining Camp. Rally on the reindeer at the foot of the Town Center, and keep producing Mounted Villagers non-stop.
- 0:35 — Every new Mounted Villager goes hunting the reindeer; production never stops.
- 2:00 — Once 400 gold have been mined (3,600 remain in the vein), the 3 miners join the reindeer. One of the villagers builds the first House.
- 2:45 — Age up with the Great Pasture: 3 food villagers build it; 3 other hunters go back to gold. When the building is done, one builder goes to gold and two to food.
Non-stop Iron Pagodas (3:55–11:10)
Harass from 3:55 with a constant stream of Iron Pagodas, set up hunting with a Mill, then click up to Age III at 10:10 with all 20 Mounted Villagers: Dragon Pavilion ready at 11:10.
- 3:55 — The Great Pasture is done, 9 villagers in total: produce Iron Pagodas non-stop and go harass.
- 4:30 — 1 wood villager builds a Grassland next to the Great Pasture; 1 food villager moves to gold.
- 5:00 — Grassland done: its builder goes back to gathering. If the opponent makes Spearmen, switch to Mohe Tribesmen.
- 6:30 — Once 8 villagers are on food, send them to the boar or deer with a Mill, and research Mohe Ancestry.
- 7:00 — Rally on gold.
- 10:10 — Age up with the Dragon Pavilion: 7 gold villagers build it, then go back to gold. All 20 Mounted Villagers are out (as early as 9:55 with perfect timing).
Economy, upgrades, relics (11:10)
Play the game normally: economy and unit upgrades, a Monastery for relics, and units that answer the opponent’s.
- 11:10 — Dragon Pavilion done: the Emissary goes to a neutral Trade Post to use Establish Tributary. Then a Blacksmith and the economy upgrades, followed by a Monastery for relics.
Tips
- Hit by towers as early as Age I (a tower rush): immediately pull a few Mohe Tribesmen out of the Great Pasture to defend.
- Spearmen counter heavy melee cavalry: against a lot of Spearmen, a few Mohe Tribesmen (ranged cavalry) are better than Iron Pagodas alone.
- Place the Dragon Pavilion next to a resource you want to secure far from your base (a forward gold vein, for example), with 5 to 8 miners; the Emissary then goes to a nearby neutral Trade Post.
- Variant: Niki45nk, in the same video, builds a Mill on the hunt around 6:50 and sends 8 villagers to it; he starts the Dragon Pavilion at 10:15 with 5 to 8 miners, the rest of the miners cutting wood.
- A Mounted Villager comes out every 35 s: 20 by 9:55 if the Town Center never idles, then regular Villagers.
