2 TCs · Serjeants — Knights Templar AoE4
Stone and wood for Antioch (0:00–4:00)
Start the Principality of Antioch at 2:48 with 14 villagers (8 on wood, 5 on stone, 1 on food): Age II arrives at 4:00 with 15 villagers.
- 0:00 — 6 villagers on food; rally on gold until 2 miners, the first building a House then a Mining Camp.
- 1:00 — Rally on wood until 7 woodcutters.
- 2:23 — The 2 miners go to stone.
- 2:48 — Age up with the Principality of Antioch, at 14 villagers plus 1 queued: 5 food villagers go, 3 to stone and 2 to wood.
Second Town Center, Serjeants, Blacksmith (4:00–10:05)
Put the second Town Center down at 4:25 on deer, produce Serjeants from two Barracks from 6:40, then start the Kingdom of Castile at 9:15 with 41 villagers to enter Age III at 10:05.
- 4:00 — Age II at 4:00: research Safe Passage right away.
- 4:05 — 3 wood villagers to stone; rally on food.
- 4:25 — The second Town Center, on deer, built by the 8 stone villagers; 1 food villager builds a Mill, then Survival Techniques right away.
- 5:25 — Second Town Center done: its builders go to the nearby deer.
- 6:00 — Two Barracks.
- 6:20 — 2 food villagers to gold, and a rally point on gold.
- 6:40 — The Barracks produce Serjeants (later Spearmen too, with the upgrade); a House.
- 7:30 — A Blacksmith and Bloomery, useful for both unit types. If the opponent makes Archers, stop the units and go for Age III.
- 9:15 — Age up with the Kingdom of Castile; two Archery Ranges and a House.
- 10:00 — A second rally from food to wood: 4 food villagers to wood; a Monastery.
Veterans and Genitours (10:05)
Upgrade the Serjeants and Spearmen to veterans, produce Genitours, then start on stone: a mark at 11:30 with 8 Serjeants, 5 Spearmen and 3 Genitours.
- 10:05 — Age III at 10:05: veteran upgrades for the Serjeants and Spearmen; produce Genitours.
- 11:00 — The deer are used up: the villagers move to the berries. Research Decarbonization.
- 11:30 — The author’s mark: 8 Serjeants, 5 Spearmen and 3 Genitours. 8 wood villagers to stone.
Tips
- Serjeants, Spearmen and Genitours make a mid-game composition that answers several kinds of enemy units.
- If the opponent makes Archers, stop the units and go for Age III: Serjeants are expensive and fragile against ranged fire.
- The healing and damage bonuses of the Castilian influence work near sacred sites: fight there.
- The age-up at 2:48 starts at 14 villagers plus 1 queued: 15 villagers when Age II arrives.
- The author sums up his plan as a Pilgrim, then the second Town Center, then Age III. The 20-second marks follow each other closely: a hard build.
