2 TCs · 2 manors — House of Lancaster AoE4
Lancaster Castle at 2:00 (0:00–4:05)
Start the Lancaster Castle at 2:00 with 12 villagers (3 builders, 5 on stone, 3 on food, 1 on wood) to reach Age II at 4:05 with 18 villagers, ready to build the first Manor.
- 0:00 — 6 villagers on sheep; one of them builds a House. Rally on gold until 3 miners.
- 1:00 — The 3 miners are in place, with a Mining Camp: rally back on sheep until the age-up.
- 2:00 — Age up with the Lancaster Castle: the 3 miners build it, then will build a Manor. 3 villagers stay on food, 5 go to stone, 1 to wood; rally on wood.
Manor, second Town Center, second Manor (4:05)
Put the first Manor on the wood as soon as 4:05, the second Town Center at 5:15 with 400 wood and 300 stone, then the second Manor on another resource at 6:10: 25 villagers by then, with two Town Centers.
- 4:05 — Age II at 4:05: the 7 woodcutters and the 3 Castle builders build a Manor on the wood, then gather wood.
- 4:25 — First Manor ready.
- 5:15 — At 400 wood and 300 stone, the second Town Center. Stop mining stone when you have 100 extra (700 left in the vein): it will pay for the second Manor.
- 5:50 — Second Town Center done: keep at least 5 or 6 villagers on food to produce from both Town Centers.
- 6:10 — A second Manor on another resource; production buildings and an answer to the opponent.
Tips
- Scout constantly, then pick the right branch (BigJoe’s variant, after RTS_Papercut): Spearmen and Yeomen against a Feudal push, King’s College and Hobelar raids against a fast castle, a food-hungry Town Center then Castle against another 2 TC.
- The Lancaster Castle secures the gold or the deer; each Manor should cover at least 2 resources among gold, wood and food.
- Count on about 500 stone in all: 300 for the second Town Center, the rest for the second Manor.
- ferg40’s variant: 2 Town Centers but a single Manor, for a Feudal aggression or a fast castle with The White Tower.
- The timings were corrected after testing: a perfect execution can do slightly better, says the author of the original version.
